Loch Fyne is mainly known for it's mackerel fishing, using spinners and feathers. The mackerel do not arrive until about July though. There is the chance of the odd sea trout using spinners such a tobies or mepps, near river or burn inlets. Rays and flatfish can be caught though, from the shore, and a variety of species from Furnace.

The specific mark featured on this page was, however, a new one for us, recommended as an offering at the time (our visit took place on Sunday, 17th July 2011) good bags of thornback ray, dogfish and mackerel.
